Since 1989 we have been operating out of Kintore, Aberdeenshire as the go-to provider of high-quality custom fitted garage doors and gates. As the business evolved and moved into different regions, we became Garage Door and Gate Co (NE). More recently, as our business grew, we’ve had to move out of our original family run home in Kintore and to a larger showroom only 3 miles away in Thainstone. (Read more about our new showroom here)
With our 30th anniversary this year, we decided it was time to get back to our roots. We wanted to represent the company in the way we felt it deserved. Our history of great craftsmanship and customer service should be matched by a great, modern, fresh brand to show we’re not just thinking about our past but about the future.
So, we’re returning to our original name!

As a family run business, we know the importance of relationships. We hope the new brand will prove to be a symbol of trust for our current and future customers alike. The stylised icon to be recognised and associated with the quality and service we will continue to provide.

The old website was inconsistent and no longer providing our customers with the information they needed. We worked with the designer and developer to build a website that provided all the information our clients might need to choose the right product for them. We’ve extended our catalogue online to show the full range of doors, gates and operating systems we provide from our suppliers. Not only does it showcase our high-quality products but lays out the benefits of different systems clearly and in detail.
The new website also helps our customers get in touch as soon as their ready to ask a question or request a quote and it works great on mobile too!
On top of this we’ve rebranded some of our fleet of vans, there are still more to do, but for now we’ve got our larger vans on the road in the new colours to bring The Garage Door Company direct to our clients.
